Because I don't want to forget....

A few cute things Ry has been doing or saying lately -
* when he is going to bed or someone is leaving he will say "bye byes" or "kisses"  He will then decide if he wants to just wave to you or give you kisses

* after he gives you a kiss he will sometimes say, "good one!!!" too cute!

* The other day I was saying out loud, "where is your sippy cup?" and he very simply replies, "in the playroom" as if DUH!!!!

* When he is eating if he likes something he will say, "MMMMM! I like it"  and if he doesn't like it he will say, "I no like it"

* the cute way he says, "hold me" "up you" "get me" "rock you mama" " I hold you tight"

* he has also begun throwing some pretty good 2 year old tantrums, some even involving hands and legs flying - often hard not to laugh

* He had a balloon that was deflated and kept telling Eric to pop it, pop it.  Finally Eric said, "are you sure you want me to pop it?" Ry responded "yes, pop it!" so Eric did!!!  Oh my gosh!!!!!  He was hysterical, jumping up and down, arms and legs flailing all over the place.  I should have got out my video it was hilarious. . . we had to turn our backs as we were laughing so hard as we had never seen this before!  He finally calmed down after we told him we could go get a new one.  Lesson learned, never pop a balloon again!

* He is really into cords (never really stopped this phase) but now is really into plugging them into stuff and figuring out how they work, if they have batteries, etc.  I think we might have an engineer in training on our hands - we will see!!!

Morning at the zoo!

We decided we should try to get in as much outdoor time as we can before it gets too hot!! We were at the zoo by 8:30 and it still got warm by about 10:15.  Luckily the zoo has a great splash area with some fun slides and tunnels where you can get all wet and cool off!  We went with our friends the Guzman's.  They have twin boys that Rylan has a lot of fun with.  We were home by 11:30 and had enough time to lay down a blanket and have a picnic lunch inside.  Hoping Ry takes a long nap after all the running around out in the sun!

Backyard water fun and tacos!!!

We had the first of many warm days yesterday so we filled up the play pool and invited Hayden over! The boys had so much fun splashing, making cakes in the pool and purring water on our toes!  They also did some golfing, mowing and weed whacking!!

Rylan and I made tacos for dinner (which he usually will eat some of but doesn't love.)  Tonight he ate an entire taco and then kept looking at Eric's last one and finally asked for "nother one peese!"  He ate 2/3 of a second taco!  Here are some funny pictures of him with his taco!

Making Pizza With Daddy

We ended our Easter weekend with Daddy & Rylan making pizza together.   Ry did amazing, he was beaming with pride and excitement!  He helped roll the dough, spread the sauce and cheese and laid each piece of pepperoni perfectly on the pizza.  He kept calling them, "ronis" - too cute!  We had pizza and a yummy salad and played in the backyard where he pretended to hide eggs and find them.

Happy Easter

Happy Happy Easter!
What a fun morning we had. . . Ry was excited about Easter eggs and his basket.  We had Easter brunch at Shannon & Adam's complete with an egg hunt and dyeing Easter eggs.  The boys were so cute hunting for eggs and would get so excited when they would spot one.  They also were sneaky and pretty smart about taking eggs out of the other ones basket when they weren't looking!  The egg dyeing was a success with only fingers and small spots on their bodies getting dyed.  Ry accidentally cracked one egg and then quickly decided to finish opening it and eat it!!  The morning ended with the two of them in diapers/underwear playing with chalk and golfing!  Happy Easter!!!!

Happy Birthday Dadddy!!

We celebrated Daddy's birthday with a barbecue at Grandpa and Grandma's house.  Ry and Hayden especially loved the candles and helping Uncle Eric blow them out!  I made a triple layer strawberry/brownie cake - it was decadent and delicious!!!
