A few more . . .

We had a yummy breakfast at our friends last Sunday.....check out these two cuties!  They are great buds - Ry and Blakie!

Ry and I took a little trip to Lakeshore Learning last week and found some super fun Magna Tiles - they are a lot of fun and keep him entertained for really long periods of time!!!  YEAH for Magna Tiles!!!  They are also helping teach him shapes, colors and geometric shapes!

                                                         Weekend morning TV time :)

Fire Station Open House

Last Saturday the Chandler Fire Station had an open house, it was so hot/humid out but I knew Ry would love it so I took him (mom of the year right?)  He had a great time but was more timid this time than the last time we went.  He was pretty hesitant to get up in the trucks and was super shy with the firefighters.  One guy asked us if there were any questions he could answer and I quickly responded, "can you tell my son why there are no Dalmation pups here?"  I then went on to tell him that when we were getting ready to leave the house Ry was in the bathroom washing his hands and told me he needed to do it before we left.  He said he was "washing them really good so the dalmation pups could lick his hands!"  ADORABLE!!!! He was a little disappointed but the firefighter quickly responded saying that they had all ran away.  Ry was then happy as he said they went to be with their mommy's!

Motorcycles!!!!

While driving to meet Eric for lunch the other day we drove by the motorcycle store and Ry instantly was asking to go there.  He reminded me that when he gets bigger he can ride a big "mo - co  - co" like Daddy!  That Saturday we took a little family trip to look at them....so funny, he hops up on all the little ones.  He pretends to drive them, tells you all about the parts/gears and says they go SO fast!!!  I am going to try to keep him off one as they stress me out BUT I think it might be a loosing battle!

Shopping with "tiny" carts

Ry has a new love for the grocery store, as long as it is Trader Joe's.  They have the cutest little "tiny" carts that Ry has so much fun pushing.   Enjoy the video and him prancing around the store.  Watch him try to get a cantaloupe and how close he is to disaster!!!  I told him he needed to wait until I asked him to get something before he plopped it in his cart.  He only hit three people in the ankles/heels.....whoops!!!!  TOO CUTE!!!!

Back to School. . .

Ry and Mommy went back to school this past week (luckily only for three days as that was plenty!!)  We missed eachother a lot and were so tired by Wednesday night.  Ry is so blessed to have his teacher from the one year old room (Rachel) she moved up to the two year old room.  It was as though Ry didn't miss a beat, he jumped right back in with all of his friends (most of who he knows from last year) and a very similar routine.  He did amazing.... slept well on his mat, listened well and played great with his friends.  We are so proud and happy of our big boy!
Here are some pictures of him on Day #1 with his new elephant backpack - not the best but still so cute!

Home Depot Class

Eric has wanted to take Ry to Home Depot to the kids building classes for a while now but has been waiting until Ry was a little older.  They went last Saturday and lasted about 20+ minutes (pretty good for a two year old!!)  They made a neat little cork board that we hung in Ry's playroom.  Ry had so much fun building with the big boys and getting his first "workshop" pin to add to his tool apron.

Old Fashioned Mixer

I found this old fashioned mixer (just like the one my Gramma used to have) in a cabinet at work.  It was going to get tossed out and I grabbed it knowing it would be a super cool toy for Rylan. He loves it, he wanted to cook with it, mix water with it and carry it all over the house.  It is certainly a treasure to him.  Here are some pictures of Ry and I making pudding with his new gadget.
