Big Brother
Rylan is going to be a big brother this April. We shared the exciting news with him after our Dr's apt on Monday. He said he "wanted a pup!!" HA!!!! We then asked him what we should name his little sister and he said "Frankie Baby" or "Joe Baby." We laughed and told him a few names we liked and had him try saying them. We like Reece and he keeps saying, "No Reece Baby!" He is too funny. Auntie Shannon brought over some girl clothes, blankies, etc. He has been going into his old room (that will be her room) and looking through the stuff. The other day I went in there to find he had opened up some pacis and was laying in his old crib with her blankie and his stuffed wolfie. Oh my, hoping he grasps the idea in the months to come. I have a feeling that if she takes a paci he is going to be stealing it from her as he LOVES them, which is strange as he never took one?! He will carry around her stuff and say, "this she's blankie, paci, dress, etc." I love to hear him talk about her and tell people he is having a little sister. He even talked to her the other day and gave her some juice via my belly button!!!!
Halloween Fun!!!
Here are some pictures of pumpkin carving - Ry was great at scooping out seeds and loved eating them once baked and salted - yum!!!
Halloween Music Festival - we went to a music festival the Thursday before Halloween with Gramma Sharon. Ry really relaxed to the instrumental Halloween music. He was so still (it was strange!!!!) They invited the kids down by the stage to come dance and at first he was hesitant but then joined in the fun! SO cute to watch him with the other kids.
TRICK OR TREAT!!!!!
We went over to Gramma's for a quick trick or treat and to see Hayden and then hurried home to have dinner and head out in our neighborhood. Ry was so fun to watch, he absolutely loved watching the kids and walking quickly from house to house. He was incredibly polite and sweet, made Eric and I proud to be his parents! There were TONS of trick or treaters out, one street in particular was so crowded. They had a fog machine (you will notice in the pictures) and was set up like a haunted house for all the trick or treaters. Ry kept calling it the "spooky house!!" What a fun night!!!
School Halloween Party
Ry had a great Halloween party at his daycare/school. I was lucky enough to be off that day so I could go with him and have fun and help out! We took all the kiddos trick or treating through the high school where his daycare is. He loved it, was adorable to watch! He would say, "Happy Halloween, trick or treat" then would stand there and wait for his candy. I would have to remind him once he got his treat to move on as he would just stand there waiting (probably for some more candy!!) After we walked around the school we went back to his classroom where we decorated pumpkins and decorated cookies. It was a lot of fun, I certainly think he had a blast! We came home and he crashed out for almost 3 hours!!!!
Sick Boy
Ry ended up with his first sickness of cold/flu season....unfortunately it was when Mommy was gone for the weekend! Ry got sick late Friday night and was sick all weekend. Daddy did an amazing job taking care of him, loving on him, making sure he was as comfy as he could be and assured Mommy things would be ok. They snuggled and watched some movies, drank lots of water/juice and Ry was feeling better soon enough. I had to post these sad pictures of Ry that weekend, poor buddy! He ended up getting an ear infection as we noticed he wasn't quite getting better and still was edgy.
