3rd Birthday Weekend!!!!

Wow!!! I can't believe my baby boy is three years old...... I was telling him this weekend he will always be my baby no matter what and he said "but mom I am so big now, I am ready for big boy preschool, and I go poo on the potty!"  Regardless of what he says, he will always be my baby boy!

We had a fantastic birthday weekend complete with kite flying, a birthday party, lots of bike riding as Ry got a new bike (aka motorcycle) for his bday from us, a neighborhood egg hunt, and dinner at the Rainforest Cafe.  It was the perfect weekend to celebrate our little boy!

We all had to wear fire fighter hats per Ry's request!!

Hayden was amazing waiting so patiently as Ry opened his gifts and rode his new bike!

One happy little boy.....he sure is lucky!!

He is doing so well riding his bike and wants to do it the second we get home from anywhere.  He has certainly put some miles on.  Last night while in the shower he told me his legs hurt.....in the exact spot you'd expect them to from biking a lot!  Funny guy!!!!

Potty Training!

I hate to even write this for fear of jinxing myself but Ry has done AMAZING the past three weeks potty training.  He went from fighting it to happily doing it and telling us when he has to go poo!  He still isn't always telling us when he has to pee but we remind him about every hour and he has gone days with out accidents.  The funniest part it he went to go pee in the rocks about a week ago in the backyard (as Eric has told him its ok to?!) and then I think accidentally pooed in the rocks.  He was shocked, as were Eric and I as he has always gone in his diaper or underpants!  The next day he said he had to poo and was headed over to the rocks again before we could stop him he did it again!  Unfortunately we were at the Children's Museum the next day and he ran over to some rocks outside and started to stand as if he were going to do his business...... luckily my mom noticed it right away and got him inside in time, right as Hayden was peeing in the rocks next to Rylan!  Oh those two boys.......so we are done using the outside rocks for a toilet in hopes that  Ry won't embarrass me anymore in public!  He has since then been going in the potty chair and is on his way to being fully potty trained!  YIPPPEEEE for Rylan, YIPPPPEEEEE for one kid in diapers (except for naps and bedtime!) and YIPPPPEEEE for him being ready for preschool in July!!!!

We are extremely proud and couldn't be happier with his quick progress!!!

Outdoor Fun!

Ry and I enjoyed a great week and a half off together....we are soaking up all the time we can together before baby sister arrives as we know things are going to change.  We did lots and lots of picnics and were at the park almost every day.  The weather was gorgeous (sunny and 80's) all week.  We had lots of dinners outside and have been outdoors as much as we can!  Ry also had a blast painting a big box we got and turned it into his fort with a little help from mom and dad.  Grandma Sellars bought Ry and Hayden "easy flyer" kites and we had a blast flying them at Tumbleweed Park.  They were the easiest kites to get up in the air ever!  The boys LOVED it and had every last inch of string out.  It was a lot of fun to watch their excitement as the kites soared higher!
