Halloween Fun!!!

Here are some pictures of pumpkin carving - Ry was great at scooping out seeds and loved eating them once baked and salted - yum!!!

Halloween Music Festival - we went to a music festival the Thursday before Halloween with Gramma Sharon.  Ry really relaxed to the instrumental Halloween music.  He was so still (it was strange!!!!)  They invited the kids down by the stage to come dance and at first he was hesitant but then joined in the fun!  SO cute to watch him with the other kids.

TRICK OR TREAT!!!!!
We went over to Gramma's for a quick trick or treat and to see Hayden and then hurried home to have dinner and head out in our neighborhood.  Ry was so fun to watch, he absolutely loved watching the kids and walking quickly from house to house.  He was incredibly polite and sweet, made Eric and I proud to be his parents!  There were TONS of trick or treaters out, one street in particular was so crowded. They had a fog machine (you will notice in the pictures) and was set up like a haunted house for all the trick or treaters.  Ry kept calling it the "spooky house!!"  What a fun night!!!

School Halloween Party

Ry had a great Halloween party at his daycare/school.  I was lucky enough to be off that day so I could go with him and have fun and help out!  We took all the kiddos trick or treating through the high school where his daycare is.  He loved it, was adorable to watch!  He would say, "Happy Halloween, trick or treat"  then would stand there and wait for his candy.  I would have to remind him once he got his treat to move on as he would just stand there waiting (probably for some more candy!!)  After we walked around the school we went back to his classroom where we decorated pumpkins and decorated cookies.  It was a lot of fun, I certainly think he had a blast!  We came home and he crashed out for almost 3 hours!!!!

Sick Boy

Ry ended up with his first sickness of cold/flu season....unfortunately it was when Mommy was gone for the weekend!  Ry got sick late Friday night and was sick all weekend.  Daddy did an amazing job taking care of him, loving on him, making sure he was as comfy as he could be and assured Mommy things would be ok.  They snuggled and watched some movies, drank lots of water/juice and Ry was feeling better soon enough.  I had to post these sad pictures of Ry that weekend, poor buddy!  He ended up getting an ear infection as we noticed he wasn't quite getting better and still was edgy.

Rylan's First Camping Trip

We decided to take Ry camping as we both have great memories of camping as kids and knew he would love it!  We were exactly right, he LOVED it!!! He keeps asking when we are going to go back and when can we stay at the campground again!  We hiked, drank warm apple cider as it was CHILLY at night, snuggled in the camper and read books, went to a local pumpkin patch and spent lots of time watching Ry VROOM! his cars/trucks around in the dirt!  He sure is a BOY!!!!

Fall Break

We did many fun things over fall break, trips to the park, the Science Museum, painted pumpkins, and the zoo!  It was a great week together!!!

Disequilibrium. . .

I am writing this so Rylan doesn't forget what he put Eric and I through when he was 2.5 :)  Let's just say that Rylan the Ferocious returned about 2.5 weeks ago and stayed for exactly two weeks.  It was an interesting two weeks, he was quite demanding, and not the sweet boy I am used to.
During this two weeks he managed to bite me (hard), pee on his bed, pillow, and carpet until Eric and I finally decided to package tape his diapers on..... seriously?!  Now we just put his pj's on backwards and have cut the feet off of them so he can't unzip them - just got tired of cleaning up pee and thankfully it was only pee!!!  Ry is usually a pretty good listener and would not listen to anything, in fact he would basically do the opposite of what we asked him.  STINKER!!!!!

Luckily this was only a phase and I can chuckle as I write about it now as it is over (but will certainly return again!!!) Just had to document it for his reading one day! HA!!!

We love you buddy, to the moon and back (even if you are going through a phase!!!!!)
